Seligman to Grand Canyon

Yesterday we drove from Kingman through a little tourist trap town called Seligman.  Its claim to fame is that it is part of the motheroad route 66.  There were several small shops selling all kinds of 66 memorabilia.  There were several busloads of people in them which made for quite a crowd.  I got a cute pic of the kids with Elvis.

Then it was onward to the grand canyon.  It was still raining off and on so we got about 5 pictures right away before it started pouring.  We then jumped on a shuttle bus and rode around looking at different overlooks.  Then we gave up since we were soaked and headed back in the car on our way out of the park.  We stopped at desert overlook and climbed a watchtower where we could see 360 degrees.  Just as we were leaving the light changed and I finally got some good pictures.

We made it to our hotel last night and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was good but way overpriced.  The weather in AZ is supposed to be stormy today but we are getting out of here and heading to CO.  Today is just a driving day.  Hope you like the pics.
